Mahindra Unveils Vision S Concept SUV: Next-Gen Bolero with Bold Design & Advanced Features

 

Mahindra & Mahindra has taken the automotive world by storm this Independence Day by unveiling four new concept SUVs. Among these, the Vision S concept stands out as the potential foundation for the next-generation Bolero. With an entirely new design language and advanced interior features, this concept promises a bold leap forward for the brand.

Futuristic Interior with Advanced Tech

The cabin of the Vision S is a blend of sophistication and functionality. At the heart of its dashboard are dual 12-inch digital screens, separated by a vertical AC vent for a unique visual appeal. Unlike many modern SUVs that consolidate all controls into a single interface, Mahindra has chosen to maintain physical buttons for key functions, including a dedicated climate control panel, ensuring intuitive usability and enhanced muscle memory for drivers.

The steering wheel adds a touch of modernity with a three-spoke round design featuring haptic controls. Mahindra is also likely to introduce a new operating system with refreshed graphics for seamless infotainment and vehicle management.

NU.IQ Platform: Built for Versatility

The Vision S concept is based on Mahindra’s NU.IQ platform, engineered for exceptional flexibility. This platform supports vehicles ranging from 3,990 mm to 4,320 mm in length, making it ideal for both sub-4 metre and larger SUVs. Despite its compact dimensions, the Vision S promises segment-leading cabin space, catering to the needs of modern families.

The architecture also accommodates multiple powertrain options, including front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, while supporting left-hand and right-hand drive markets. With a generous 2,665 mm wheelbase and optimized overhangs (front: 745–850 mm, rear: 550–805 mm), it ensures a perfect balance of comfort, stability, and off-road capability.

While Mahindra has not confirmed the production timeline, the Vision S concept is clearly more than just a design study. It represents the future of Bolero and Mahindra SUVs, blending rugged DNA with futuristic aesthetics, cutting-edge tech, and unmatched versatility.
